Before you switch energy suppliers, we recommend that you check a few things and gather some information together:
- The bank account from which your current energy payments are made must be in your name, and must be added as an account in the Bud app.
- Check your latest bill and/or annual energy statement for your tariff name and annual usage;
- Whether leaving your current supplier now would cause you to incur an exit fee. We try to detect this automatically using the information we have and will factor it into any savings figures we show you, but it’s still a good idea to check this yourself so that you don’t get a surprise charge from your current supplier,
- If you are renting, check with your landlord that they are ok with you switching energy providers.
